Family ski area Sonnenkopf

THE NATURAL SNOW SKIING AREA UP TO 2,300 M AT THE ARLBERG.

In the Sonnenkopf ski area, sun, snow and families come much closer than anywhere else!

The family friendly Sonnenkopf ski area, which is now well-known and popular far beyond the borders of Vorarlberg, is located directly at the foot of the world-famous Arlberg. Due to the optimal altitude (up to 2,300 m), the Sonnenkopf is known as one of the few natural snow ski areas. Favored by the ideal topographical location, the Sonnenkopf is considered extremely snow-sure. Insiders particularly appreciate the excellent snow quality until late spring. By the way, the price-performance ratio is also impressive!

For powder snow lovers and adventure skiers, the Sonnenkopf is an insider tip. In addition to many great deep snow variations directly next to the slopes, there are two huge “backcountry areas” with up to 1250 vertical meters without ascent for the more experienced among you. The “powder run” into the Nenzigasttal offers varied terrain with a whopping 3 km of vertical meters. The black slope into Bäraloch is another highlight with its 1.5 km length and 64% incline and is one of the steepest slopes in Austria.
